Please Help Support the Wisconsin Poet Laureate Fund!

The Wisconsin Poet Laureate Fund is an endowment fund within the Community Foundation for the Fox Valley Region, to support activities of the State Poet Laureate and the Poet Laureate Commission.

Thanks to your donations, the Wisconsin POET LAUREATE FUND has reached it's initial goal of $10,000. That amount enables it to become a "permanently endowed fund" which generates 5% ($500) interest each year. That interest will be used to help pay for gas, copying, phone, food and other expenses as the Laureate travels the state promoting poetry. The only financial assistance the Laureate receives is $2,000 allocated annually by the state for travel reimbursement. Now that we’ve established the baseline for an endowment fund, we can move forward toward our ultimate goal of $25,000 for the Poet Laureate Fund.
