New Wisconsin Poet Laureate Search Begins!
The Poet Laureate Commission of Wisconsin has announced the search for Wisconsin’s next Poet Laureate.  All qualified poets living in Wisconsin are encouraged to apply for this prestigious post. Nominations will also be accepted.  The two-year term of service will begin on January 1, 2011.  The deadline for applications and nominations is Friday, June 11, 2010.

For an application form and detailed guidelines, interested poets and persons interested in nominating a poet should click on the Apply link on the left side of this page.  Applicants and nominators may also submit a self-addressed stamped envelope to the Wisconsin Humanities Council, Attn: Poet Laureate Guidelines, 222 South Bedford Street, Suite F, Madison, WI 53703-3688.
